Get rid of the burden

Fitness to practice proceedings can be long, drawn out processes. This week, I've been dealing with an NMC matter that has being going on for over a year, and involved 5 days of hearing before two different panels. Finally today, following another successful submission of no case to answer, the cloud over my client's life has been lifted, and they can live and work in peace. "Thank you again. I'm so relieved to be rid of the burden", they said.

I understand that these proceedings weigh very heavily on professionals, and I do my utmost to take that burden from you, as soon as I can. My clients often burst into tears when they get their successful outcome, and for some reason, I always seem to get an attack of hayfever at these times - snuffly noise, teary eyes - very strange.

Anyway, back to winning ways for me. Is there anyone else that needs a shoulder to lean on?
