Late night calls?

Two weeks ago, one of my clients received a call at about 10pm - from me.  Why was I calling that late, you might ask?  Well, I had been in London on a hearing that day, and by the time I got back to my desk and went back through my emails, it was about 10pm.  One of those emails was from the HCPC, in one of my cases where a social worker was accused of inappropriate accessing of the data of family and friends.  This is a recurring theme recently - please guys, do not do it, you will get in trouble every time.  Anyway, the social worker concerned had contacted me at a reasonably early stage in the referral and we were able to work on her response to the allegations together.  The result? A late night call to tell a somewhat shell-shocked client about the email I'd just opened confirming that the Investigating Committee had found there was no case to answer, and her case was therefore over.

I'm always happy to pass on good news and I promise I will never keep you waiting for it - even if it means a late night call!
