Case Examiner responses

When a matter gets referred to a regulator, it will go through at least two stages before it reaches a final hearing. One of those stages is a Case Examiner (or equivalent) stage. This is when a panel will decide, in a private meeting, whether the case should be referred for a final hearing.

As a registrant under investigation, you will have the opportunity to submit evidence to the Case Examiners, and to present written arguments as to why your case should go no further.

We specialise in assisting registrants with persuasive written submissions to do just that.

Last week, the NMC wrote to us with the outcome for one of our clients, a registrant who was unfortunate enough to have had a second NMC referral (this is quite rare) alleging some quite serious behaviour, including dishonestly misleading the NMC.

Having considered our careful submissions, the Case Examiners concluded that the case should be dropped, ending this difficult and painful time for our client.

They and their family were overjoyed and extremely relieved. We love these results and being able to bring such happiness to our clients!
