MHPS and SWE success

I’m bunged up this week - blocked nose, blocked ears (?!), congested lungs - but still, it’s been a good one for a couple of my clients.

The first, a consultant doctor, has been the subject of an informal and then an formal MHPS investigation for several months. It has been a complicated matter, requiring external clinical advice to assess the correctness of my client’s actions. Finally, this week we heard that the investigation is to close with no further action. My client’s position has been entirely vindicated.

The second, a social worker, faced a SWE fitness to practise referral. After two previous hearings, at a further hearing this week, the adjudicators found that my client’s fitness to practise was not impaired and their registration cleared.

Both cases required concentration and persistence, as well as tactical awareness and a solid knowledge of the two different processes. I was able to provide all of that, and to secure happy outcomes for both clients.
