(No) interim order again

Another interim order hearing last week, at the NMC. My client was alleged to have assaulted a patient by hitting them in the face during a restraint. There was CCTV footage available and an unfavourable management report.

My client contacted me as soon as the NMC referral was made, and so we were able to anticipate an interim order application and take steps to defend one should it be made.

The panel considered the matter carefully after hearing my submissions and reviewing the evidence from both the NMC and my client, and decided that no interim order was necessary.

Another win for early preparation!
