Just a quick note to celebrate another recent fitness to practise victory at Social Care Wales. A client was referred in respect of an alleged inappropriate relationship and failure to disclose. After representations were made at screening stage, it was deemed that there was low risk demonstrated and the regulator declined to open a fitness to practise investigation.

Although it may seem like a small victory, when an investigation is opened, it can last for many months. Another of Social Care Wales client had an investigation opened in September 2025, and that case is ongoing. A quick, early victory should always be sought where possible.
