The sweet taste of victory

I needed a good couple of results to wash the nasty taste of strike off (see my previous post) from my mouth.  And it wasn't long before the results came rolling along.

Firstly, on Monday this week a paramedic client was able to celebrate the end of their HCPC process with a return to unrestricted practice.  They first came to me having admitted leaving their ambulance and thereby failing to respond to an emergency call.  I was able to negotiate disposal of their case by consent, which meant my client did not have to attend the proposed 3 day hearing, and instead their admitted misconduct was dealt with by way of a one year caution order.

Secondly, on Tuesday this week another readmission appeal for a nurse who had worked without registration - for over one year!  Despite the length of the lapsed registration, when I presented the nurse's case at the appeal hearing, the panel were persuaded that my client ought to be readmitted to the register.  This is what my client said: "I will take this opportunity to send you a big thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are a genius, you are fantastic.  I am just overwhelmed with joy and speechless".  This is what it means to these guys!

It's Wednesday today, let's see what the rest of the week holds! At least, for my clients' sake, we are back to winning ways.
