So, as it says on the tin, another positive outcome - this time in front of the General Optical Council. My client faced allegations of dishonesty spanning the course of several months. A hearing listed for 10 days ended early, with a finding by the panel of no current impairment. This is an amazing result for them, given dishonesty allegations very often end up with a sanction of erasure, or at the very least, a period of suspension. In this instance, my client came to me in good time (we can deal with urgent matters, but always best if we can have a little more time) and we prepared a strong case to ensure they remained on the register. Now they (and I) can enjoy the rest of the half term break!
